Issue with property repairs

Hey ya'll! Been lurking for a few weeks thought I would get some advice from you dudes and dudettes.

So my dad(51) and I(17) live in a 3 floor town house in a rough neighborhood. In all honesty the place need/probably requires a renovation. The company that owns the property is a huge company and likes to throw their weight around.

So somthing like 2 to 3 years ago it was discovered that we have some pretty bad mold issues with some beams on the main floor. Our basement also fluds regularly and has caused us to have to throw away some boxes of stuff. Now it wasn't my stuff so I didnt care and it wasn't particularly important but my dad is a packrat so throwing stuff away is "a grave sin".

Now my dad has gone to the landlord and told them to fix the damn place (with some more colourful language) and they said ok... last year. We have since then had a guy come in glance around and put some blue tape over a crack caused by water damage near a cabinet in the kitchen. When ever my dad asks when repairs will be done they say that they are still looking into our claims. YOU CAN SMELL THE MOLD IN THE CABINET! On top of that our toilet no longer flushes properly and they say it's our fault for a 20 year old toilet crapping out and are basically dragging their feet as much as possible.

I guess my question is there anything we can do about this? Moving isint really an option for us and we have tried to ask for another vacant suite. But there are none... bullshit. There are so some. There are tons. If anyone knows how we could combat this please. Help the little guy.
