Post Body
So, the city I live in, shut our water off, due to room mate not paying water bill on time. The room mate in question passed away the Thursday before last from his alcoholism. I went and paid the water bill, and they turned the water back on. Issue is, the water was at a bare trickle. I called them, complained, and now they broke the water valve. We have no water in the home I live in. It's going to cost around $3-4 thousand to fix, and I have no money to do so. The city insists it is my fault for the valve breaking because it wasn't maintained, but I had no idea where it was located when I moved here. What are my options and do I have any legal action?
