Post Body

Hello everyone I would like some advice on this situation. I bought a car from a used car dealership who finances in house. I was late on my payment by about a week, and they called all right of my references. I am not sure about all of them, but the dealership lady told one of my references that I was late on my payment and I had just bought the car. My question is whether they are allowed to disclose this to anyone besides myself. No dollar amount was stated to this person, but I am wonder if they are allowed to do this and if no what recourse I have. Thank you very much!
