We live in CO and 2 years ago my grandfather and his wife wife moved to FL. Despite having a very close relationship with his wife in the past, after my grandfather was diagnosed she became very cold towards us. She is 10 years younger than him and greatly resents him for getting sick. After moving she used his fixed income to buy herself a home before putting him in a nursing home. We last visited him in May and it was clear he needed a nursing home that was less independent and that specialized in memory care. He also needed a wheelchair because he kept falling with his walker. She didn't want to pay for either of things claiming she had no money, even though he has over 100K in his retirement accounts. Additionally, she had started dating again and he posts on her FB about how sexy she is and how he is going to get her in shape.
She finally moved him to a new nursing home but will not tell us where he is. Do we have and legal means of obtaining information on where he is living? We were able to get from his previous home the new address but not his room number or information about his health.
