First, sorry for the cruddy title. Just took an allergy pill that kind of zones me out. Blanking on the right word.
What's the legality of using brand names in writing. For example:
"They had been quite close until the Great Monopoly Game of '07."
"He was never to be seen without a bag of Doritos in hand and a Marlboro dangling from his lips."
Wouldn't that be copyright infringement? Or am I way off?
