So yes, this is for a fictional thing but is set in California. Basically a few people keep saying that it is illegal for an 18 year old high school senior to date a 24 year old deputy. The person said it was put into law two years ago that students who are eighteen and in school are considered underage until they turn nineteen. They claim to be an educator so I am not really sure if this is actually a law but it has piqued my interest . The only law I have ever known is about sexual consent and student/teacher relationships. Can anyone help out with this? Is it actually illegal for an 18 year old student to date someone older and are they actually still considered a minor?
