Quebec, Canada: Is it legal to write and sell my own video game through paypal/steam/etc if I'm in QC in a work permit that specifies I must work for a particular organisation?

I'm in Quebec on a work permit with the condition that I can only work at a specified job for a specified organisation at a specified location. But if I make an indie game (or some other for-profit app, tool, or website) and make money from advertising or online sales, does that count as "working in Canada" if I'm not employed by anyone? What if I make a website but host it in another country, or if I publish a game through the apple-store or play-store or Steam or something?

Edit: This would be an "after-work" project in addition to the primary job described in the work permit.
