Work refuses to pay workers comp despite asking me to take time off
Post Body

Hey guys, I’m in San Francisco California. I hurt myself at work over a month ago and I was asked to take the rest of the day off and go to the doctor. My work told me NOT to submit sick time and that they’d compensate me for the lost time. The doctor said I could return to work the next day but with limited responsibilities. Once I submitted the workers comp claim it got approved, but they said no payments would be issued. I asked my managers about it and they’re now saying that I only get compensated if I’m out of work for 8 days or more?? I’m just wondering if that’s accurate or if they’re giving me the run around? It’s not the first time I’ve been lied to and misled by this fruit based technology company. Thank you so much for your help!
