Post Body

Hello,

Asking for a friend. They were pulled over in VA going 100 (they regret it) and due to living out of state and having school their lawyer requested a continuance. Continuance was granted but was also given failure to appear and the lawyer is saying to stay out of trouble until the court date. Looking it up it seems like school isn’t a valid reason to ask for continuance anyways. Trust in the lawyer is low. Do they have a warrant? How can we find out? Is this possible or a mistake? Seeking clarification or action steps
