Post Body

Growing up I was severely abused my aunt who raised me and cps was called multiple times however I was forced to lie and say I lied because I was angry and I ran into a mailbox. Cps cases got closed but the abuse continued. She strangled me multiple times growing up and even said she would kill me as she strangled me. The last time she did it was 12 years ago when i was 18 but the last time i was hit by her was 5 years ago. Anyways I'm wondering if I can press charges for strangulation in va, I read there is no statute of limitations for a felony i want justice what happened to me was not okay and every time I bring it up I'm told I'm mentally ill. This might seem weird to do but I just want closure an acknowledgement and if pressing charges is what I need to do it so be it
