[TX] bought a car from an acquaintance. Now they want to backpedal and give me 24 hours to return the vehicle as per their attorney.

Post Body

Like the title says, I need to know where I stand in this agreement that was done via text where I am to pay 1500 in 250 dollar payments every month until it's paid off. So far I've given 500 for the initial payment in December and I've paid an additional 125 and 154 for the month of January. He still has the title in his name obviously until the sum of what was agreed upon was met. I've fallen on hard times but I've maintained my end of the agreement with fulfilling the 250 payment for the month of January. I told him about being in between jobs, and now he wants to tell me I have 24 hours to return the vehicle "as per my attorney". I'm not looking to be a problem for this guy. He's got money and I don't have the funds or the mental capacity to argue otherwise but he won't tell me if he plans on returning the money I've already given him. I just need to know what could be done to me if after the 24 hours I haven't returned the vehicle. And do I have to just trust that he's going to give the money back once I have? Please help.
