So quick rundown it happened in Texas, me and my girlfriend were leaving a parking lot exit to go into the street. We check both ways and have ample time to exit, as where getting out the car hits us on the back left corner of the 4Runner exactly. My girlfriend and the girl exchanged information, come to find out my girlfriends mom never renewed the insurance and forgot to tell my girlfriend. Then the same with the other girl. Her insurance was expired. Leaving both without Insurance. A month has gone by the girl sent a quote of her damages but my girlfriend and the family aren’t going to pay as technically she hit us. Today she was sent a message saying she’d like a resolution and compensation or she would go through legal action. Could she do that? What should we do?
