Receiving benefits in one state and getting a license in another.
Post Body

I currently receive SNAP and health benefits in CT where I live. I have the ability to get a driver’s license in MA where I used to live which for complicated reasons would be significantly easier for me than getting a CT license.

Does anyone know what the potential negative repercussions be of claiming addresses in different states for different purposes?

Edit to add some details about the license because I feel like it’ll keep coming up - My previous license is from the United States Virgin Islands, the process to transfer it to a Massachusetts license with the documents I have available is very straightforward. In CT I would be required to start the process as if I had never been a licensed driver making it much more expensive and cumbersome.
