I was dealing with a guy from November until now and within those short few months I’ve found out things about him that made him get very violent with me whenever I try to discuss it with him. When I first met him, he did tell me he had a couple of charges, including a DV charge, but he told me nothing happens regarding that situation and the case should’ve been dropped (I was just taking everything he said as the truth).
Until some events had happened that led to me seeing his phone while he was hospitalized. When we were in the hospital and I tried to bring it up he was getting angry, so I knew the next time I do bring this up to him when we got to his place, I knew to audio record in case something were to happen. Things did happen…
Even though he broke his arm from the car accident he’s much stronger than me. I’m only 115, so he headbutted me, he choked me, he put his elbow into my chest and was putting his knees on my stomach. I was really shocked by this because I never been hit by a man before and so I was crying a lot and didn’t know what to do. I kept telling him to let me leave but he wasn’t letting me, the only reason I was able to was because his grandma called and she told him to let me go. I now want to press charges but I’m not sure if I’m even able to because we have no relationship and I know some police don’t take DV seriously
