Hi everyone! Got a weird situation going on...

Back in June i had a bit of a financial issue. I had reconnected with my ex at the time who offered and insisted on giving me $4,000 to help me out. I said no several times and she kept insisting, so i took it she stated there was no rush on paying her back and that she's not worried about it whatsoever. Fast forward to about Late August, we saw each other and she had sexually assaulted me (which she admitted to via text). And I have not spoken to her since.

Now that a couple months have passed, she reached out to me via a third party stating that the amount would be due on a certain date and that they will pursue legal action if not paid by then.

Part of me wants to just pay this off so she can be out of my life forever, but part of me wants to fight it. Do I have any options whatsoever? I never signed a contract, everything regarding the loan was a verbal agreement and i also never asked for the help it was offered to me.
