Some background, my older sister and I share a joint bank account from years ago. I have since got my own bank account and she has continued to use our account as her primary account. We had a major falling out after she made some poor life decisions and she even ended up blowing through all the money left behind by our late parents including trust funds set up for me and my younger sister. Morally, I know two wrongs don’t make a right, but logically, the only thing stopping me from clearing out the entire account is making sure such a thing would be legal. She doesn’t have enough money for it to be worth it to sue her for misappropriation of funds, so I figure this the best I’m going to get as far as payback. So, would I be in the clear since the account is in my name as well?
