Hello -
This is a little bit esoteric … But-
What reasons could there be for this:
A house is purchased with a closing date in November of 2023, at a price of $2.995M.
That is the price on record on all official sites as well as the standard real estate sites (Zillow, property shark, etc) for a year.
Suddenly, in November of 2024, not just on one site, but all of them …. The date doesn’t change (still says November 2023 for the closing), but it states that it was sold for $65,000.
This is important due to the timing of the change being concurrent with a known potential (but not yet filed) challenge to the original deed and equity of such with the purchaser and their partner ….
In addition, the deed changed to a life estate deed…. But none of the records show who the remainderman is.
There is no record I can find of a refinance. But it seems likely?
Either way, wouldn’t it be fraud if the deed/mortgage holder knew about potential litigation, for them to do any changes until that was sorted? Does it seem like a scheme to hide any available equity?
Thanks.
