So recently I had to put my car in the shop due to a severe oil leak thinking it was a ruined oil seal. I later was told by the shop that it was actually a cracked oil filter housing and they didn't have the man power for such a job as the whole motor would have to be pulled to fix it. I took it to another shop who could. New mechanic looked at it and said I needed to contact whoever changed my oil last. It turned out that the person who had changed the oil not only cracked the housing but tried to cover their mistake with silicone or something. Walmart TLE is the one that did this. I contacted them and they pretended to be concerned and check it out. Sent the info to their insurance company. I later got a call from the insurance company, they said that since I had no proof it was Walmart who had done it and it had been so long since my oil change had been done they will not approve the claim.
So since the silicone miraculously held for so long. I am SOL. I do not even know what kind of attorney to hire. I still owe money on the car that as it turns out needs a new motor which will cost more than the value of the car.
