I was hired for a full time position at the store I work at. However, I am usually scheduled to work just under 40 hours so they won't have to pay me overtime. This was a decision from corporate. However, corporate has now decided that everyone who is below 40 hours does not qualify as full time and will not be receiving any benefits, pto, or holiday pay. Just in time for Christmas. Apparently I have to "prove that I can work 40 hours for a month" before I will get any of these benefits back. My 8 hours of PTO is gone. This has to be illegal, right? What can I do?
