Post Body

On Thursday morning, I woke up feeling very sick. I talked to my doctor, explained all my symptoms, and received a note for work stating that I could return on Monday. The issue is that I work at UPS, and this is our busiest time of the year. I sent the note to my boss, but he mentioned that since we work Monday through Saturday during December, he needs me to come in on Saturday. The note specifies that I cannot work on Thursday and Friday and should return on Monday. My question is: what can I say to my boss about not coming in on Saturday if I still don’t feel well? I came across the ‘Maryland Earned Sick and Safe Leave Employee Notice,’ gave it a quick read, and I’m unsure if I should send it to justify taking the time to recover until Monday. I live in Maryland.

I got an updated doctor’s note that added Saturday on it.
