So I was in an accident almost 2 weeks, I had a solid green light and the guy passed a red light. Never honked at me, never tried to stop, T-boned me, took me out of the road, I had my 4 year old son with me. The other guy was probably going at 40mph I was going at least 20-25mph I was just going up the street to go to the gas station, anyway he was at fault. There were cameras, and witnesses that saw him pass the red light and did nothing to try and prevent an accident. He admitted it to the cops and insurance, so he got cited and his insurance took responsibility for everything. I had bruising really bad on my knee. My ribs are still sore to this day, if I’m standing up too long I get really bad pain or just bad aches on both of my sides. I think my kidney on my right side is also bruised, I was wanting to get a job but not being able to even stand for a long time affects me a lot. Or even if I’m sitting straight up for a long time it hurts, so I was receiving 900 for me and 500 for my son I said that was fine. I thought I’d be fine by now to look for a job, but I really don’t think I will. I also have nightmares about the accident, so I’m thinking of going back to my psychiatrist and going to a chiropractor. I’m just wanting the bruising to go away first, because I don’t want it to hurt more… I think for me to fully recover and heal physically it’ll be a long time.. so I don’t know if there is any more way I could get more money, I don’t have a job like mentioned and I don’t think I will be able to soon.. the other day I just cleaned my fish tank and my ribs were HURTING. :( I don’t want money just because, I just genuinely don’t think I will physically heal in a few days. My son wasn’t injured at all, but I was. I don’t know if getting more money is an option, I just got approved for SNAP here in Iowa because I won’t be able to work and get food and stuff.. any advice?
