I was assaulted at work for the second time by the same person.

So this just happened so i won’t add to many details of my profession or the person.
So basically i’ve charged this person with assault before and they got convicted off a misdemeanor in my state to a lesser assault charge. and in they’re own words assaulted me again for pressing charges for the first time. Will this be treated the same as the first charge? or will it be treated more severely because it was the exact same person (me) and retaliatory by they’re own admission?
