Post Body

Hi all this happened in Colorado.

Backstory: I have been on some sort of benzodiazepine for the last 8ish years of my life. It gets better, it gets worse, and my medication is adjusted or supplemented accordingly.

Currently I have been having extremely high anxiety so coupled with the klonopin I'm on, my doctor and I discussed him prescribing me a beta blocker (which is supposed to help with the physical symptoms). He said he'd give me a couple weeks worth to try it and sent it in. I went two days later to pick it up.

I went through my pharmacy's drive thru, gave them my info, was asked to verify my address and phone number when she had the meds in her hand, she then gave it to me and signed the slip saying I had no questions for them.

It wasn't until I got home that I opened the bad and find a bottle of phenobarbital (labeled really weirdly), which to my research if taken with my klonopin could result in respiratory failure.

Do I have a case to sue the pharmacy here? Or would there only be a case if I took the medicine and had a bad interaction with it? What if I took the meds but didn't have a bad interaction but still went to the hospital? I haven't spoken to my doctor or the pharmacy yet. If this is legal worthy I will pursue it.

Any advice on what I can do here would be lovely, Saul Goodman-like or a more Chuck McGill approach, either are welcome.
