My grandfather is hours away from dying and I have a quick question. My grandfather left my grandmother their house in his will, but he still owes a mortgage on it and is the sole borrower. Is it possible for my grandmother to take over the mortgage? They're both married.
Post Body

Just wondering so there's no more stress on her head. They're both on the deeds and my grandmother is on my grandfathers will for the house to be left to her, but is there anything else legally we should know about when we approach the lender about his passing or should we tell them at all that he's passed away.
