My dad was in contact with a solar panel contractor for a while last year. He was on board with a solar company she got him approved for (loan) but they ended up closing the business down for fraud. Fast forward a few weeks, she texts him and tells him she found another company but my dad tells her he’s not moving forward till he fixes the roof. She then tells him it’s no issue, the solar company will remove the panels at no charge once he decides to fix the roof (a lie). My dad stood firm and told her no, he’s going to wait. Next day, she send solar panel installers while he’s at work and comes back home to find they were installed without his permission as he didn’t sign anything (she took his signature from the previous company where he originally agreed and signed for the other). He’s since then been trying to get in contact with both her and the solar company and neither reply, the panels aren’t working either and the bank is starting to charge him for the panels. Is this considered fraud or is there something we can do?
