Hiya! So I (19f) have been trying to figure out what the absolute fuck is wrong with my left wrist since February. I went in to see my doctor I think three times, first time getting an X-Ray, second being told to put some kind of gel on and hope, and the third being referred for an EMG and NCS.
The report for the x-ray reccomended an MRI or another round of imaging to rule out a stress fracture, since I work a physically demanding job. My doc keeps finding ways to avoid reffering me for an MRI.
Anyway, all that to say, the EMG and NCS went funky. At first I got no results so I had to keep calling, then the results I got were a diagnosis of "cervicalgia" and "parasthesia of the skin". Cervicalgia is just a fancy word for neck pain and parasthesia is like a tingly numbness that in my experience would suggest nerve issues. Neither one is really relevant to my wrist situation.
After a while of getting no explanation from my PCP's office, I called again and finally got someone who listened to me. They called the next day and asked where I was even sent (even though they were the ones who sent the refferal to that specific location).
Is there something I should be doing legally speaking? I feel like this can't be a good practice, and I still haven't gotten any explanation for what is wrong with my wrist.
TIA!
