Hello,
This had happened 3 days ago in NJ I was walking back in from lunch at my job and there is a row of residential housing behind the parking lot. I'm not the best with dog breeds but it was most likely a pitbull mix of some sort and from what I gathered it went over or under the fence of one of the houses and I had heard it running up so I turned around and it clamped down on my arm I will have some deep scaring from this but my issuance has me covered for most all of this. Now this is where my question begins to get the dog off I had jammed my thumb into it's eye and burst it's eye leaving it blind with 1 eye. The dog let up and ran back to where it came from leaving a small blood trail behind. I had ran into the building I work at after to call the police and thankfully this is all on camra. The dog has been seized for the time being and the owners are being charged with negligence.
Can they sue me for damage to the dog or anything related to this?
