Me and my mom are registered caregivers for my grandparents, my grandpa has been immobile and unable to communicate for a few years now, and my grandma has just lost mobility and has early-middle stage dementia. My mom drives me to and from my other job, it’s a 5 minute drive there and back so 10 minute drive in the morning then one in the afternoon. My moms sister has started threatening us with legal action because caregivers can be fined for leaving them unwatched even though we drive with a baby camera watching them. She holds power of attorney and has been telling us we owe money to an estate as well as other things that make it seem like she only wants inheritance. I don’t know what to do, I’m about to be promoted and I really need this job on my resume for the future so I don’t want to quit but I don’t know if I have an option. Is there anything we can do?
