Post Body

Hi all! I recently got into a car accident in pinellas county, FL where I was stopped at a stop sign and a lady hit me when making a wide right hand turn. She proceeded to drive 200 feet away from the accident to her house (she lived on the street where accident occurred) and run inside her home. She never stopped at all to check on me. Her husband came out and I immediately called the police. Cop sent me home and called me to tell me that he thought she was drunk. She chugged two beers in front of the cop so he couldn’t charge her with a DWI. He also only gave her a careless driving ticket and no hit and run since she gave him her details. I hurt my back during the accident and am getting checked out ASAP. I filed a claim with my insurance for that and her insurance for the damage. Lady refuses to speak to her insurance. I’m trying to find out legally what I do- do I have the grounds to sue for personal injury? any advice is appreciated
