Hi all I wanted some advice on a matter regarding my daughter. Ive never been in contact with a lawyer or even know where to start. I put my daughter in a daycare that was newly opened. I did my research on my state website/researched the owner, etc. Recently weve had to open a cps case after my daughter came home with finger point bruising. The cps worker said its gonna be hard to substantiate the case without physical proof other than the bruising but that she believes my 2 yr old. Would a lawsuit be the better route? I ask because there is what i believe to be deception by the owner. She moved to my state from another and changed her name in the last two years. Under her previous name she had a childcare facility that was shut down by the state and had multiple accusations of child abuse. Had she given her real name i wouldve seen these and never enrolled my daughter. She was still living in the previous state when i enrolled my daughter and she was still using her previous name. I know this because i enrolled my daughter on 6/10 and on 6/24 there was an article written about her from her previous state in which her real name was stil listed. My question is, does this seem like a good reason for a lawsuit? Im angry and tired and i feel cheated out of my daughters sense of security.
