My apartment building was recently bought and under new property management. When I looked up who bought it, it was under an LLC. The LLC has only one agent. I looked up the agent and his real estate license has been revoked.

I also looked up the property manager and I found nothing about him in Ohio. The closest thing I found to him is an upwork profile in his name in a different country mentioning property management, I’ve talked to him on the phone and he has a heavy accent of the country that profile was located. He called me to ask if another tenant had moved out and what utility company’s provided utilities to the premises. The phone number is spoofed and the @companyname.com accounts in both their emails doesn’t have a website. Also the company name they use isn’t registered in Ohio.

Is this legal? Is it fraud? Should I talk to the local authorities?
