Hello everyone. Iāll be straight to the point. I was committed to a mental institution about 7 years ago for a suicide attempt. My right to firearm ownership was thus stripped from me. I appealed for them back today and won. I am wondering how I am supposed to answer the question āhave you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective or have you ever been committed to a mental institutionā. Obviously the answer is yes but I am not sure if I answer that truthfully and it will be shown that I have had my rights reinstated, or is that something that doesnāt show on my record and I answer ānoā bc āyesā is an automatic decline of sale? Iām not sure it matters but I am in VA. Thanks.
