I was recently involved in a Semi Truck accident a month ago, the drive made an improper lane change from the left lane, side swipe me on the rare left followed by a T-bone on the driver side, resulting to getting pushed to the wall of the highway.
The driver immediately admitted fault when the police showed up and was later given a ticket for an improper lane change. My car got deemed total loss by the insurance company and the loan was paid off to the financer.
Now I don’t have car, and I lost the 2nd stream of income as I was part time uber driver while working my fulltime job. I’ve hired an attorney to sue the other trucking company.
The law office was able to arrange for MRIS, CT Scan and now seeing a Chiropractor 3 times a week and an occupation therapist 2 times week. I have back pain, shoulder pain wrists and confirmed concussion. My Sleep is completely messed up and scared of driving now and then,
I haven’t spoken directly to any of the attorneys since the case was opened and I only get a call from the case manager once every 2 weeks for updates.
My question should I be concerned with the minimal communication from the law firm or this is standard practice? Any redflags with that? I don’t want to waste time and then a year later am back at square one with another law firm
Does any know how the settlement is calculated if any and what is a reasonable ball pack?
How long do such cases normally take?
Please provide any resources that can be helpfully to understand the outcome of my case better.
