Can my parent request my birth certificate against my consent in NJ?

Post Body

So, for context, my parent is trying to do adjustment of status but I won't be doing a family petition because he's a deadbeat and he only treated me well when I was on board with the family petition, when I said I wouldn't be petitioning for him anymore he started looking around and multiple lawyers have scammed him already. He's been talking to a lawyer about his process but I don't know much about, I just know they requested my birth certificate and they said if he couldn't find it they'd find a way to get it. This is what I know so far: 1. this office is in Texas. 2. They're asking him for a psychological evaluation and they provide the number of the clinic and it's done online. Seems fishy to me but nevertheless, how possible is it for them to successfully get my birth certificate against my consent? Is there a way to protect my documents? Does he have a right over my birth certificate to just request it? I really wanna protect my documents because I don't know how sketchy or reputable this lawyer is and I don't want my parent to get a hold of any of my documents. Talking to him isn't an option edit: I forgot to mention they told him the process would take around 3 years
