Location: NC. I was uninsured at the time when I got into an accident ( hit their bumper) I was 100% at fault. Now I am receiving a letter that I owe 6k. I spoke around with law offices, suppose to be receiving a call from one here soon. Is seeking an attorney the best decision? I haven’t received a judgement or contacted the collection agency yet. I’m not sure what amount I could even negotiate it to, I don’t make enough to even afford half of that. I’m not experienced in these situations and don’t want to say the wrong thing.
