I accidentally flagged someone in public with an airsoft rifle (open carry is legal in my state, as well as removing/painting the orange tip), looking down the sights to make sure it looked good, and now Im being charged for criminal threatening. Yes I know Im stupid for waving around an airsoft rifle. I had no idea I had brought the barrel anywhere near a person until the cops pulled up and confiscated it. Now I have a court date and Im being charged with criminal threatening. How do I go about defending this?
