Do police look through your whole phone for evidence?

I’m reporting abuse and r*pe from a hostage situation from some years ago but I’m embarrassed because my phone is filled with emotional stuff. I have ocd and severe ptsd so I have to write things down in my notes to calm down and screenshot so much random stuff. I never like people to see my phone. I’m deleting stuff but some things are important. If I keep stuff in the “recently deleted” in my pics or notes would they look through that? Because I’d probably just wanna delete almost everything then and recover it later.

I’m just reporting screenshots of evidence and confessions from my abuser that’s what they need.
