I live in Idaho currently. I let my boyfriend come live with me and we broke up 6 months later.
He wants some of his things back but until he pays me for the expenses I incurred while he lived with me, I don’t think I should give them back.
He told me he’d pay me back for the groceries, wine/whiskey, rent, gas, etc. he didn’t have a job (he lied to me about having one. I thought he went off to work after I did each morning).
I think he might sue me to get his things back and if he does I’ll create my own case against him. He owes me over $7000 from my calculations. I went back and looked at all my old charges and accounted for the shared food he bought with my card, too. I reduced it by my share. I looked at the local rental market and that’s how I figured his share of the housing cost.
