Post Body

I know I screwed up big time. Please Iā€™ve been beating my self up for the last 24 hours. Yesterday I was turning left and the oncoming car was in the oncoming right turn lane with his turn signal to go right. That lane is a straight and right lane. So I thought since his signal was on I could creep up the intersection and turn left after he turns right. Instead he sped up and went straight and I hit his front right side. His airbag was deployed. Both of our cars might be totaled.

I donā€™t have insurance and Iā€™ve been researching how screwed I am. The other partyā€™s car has a Kelly blue book value of $5,300 and he wasnā€™t injured. Besides the ā€œmy neck hurtsā€ when asked by the cop. Iā€™m so freaking scared as to whatā€™s going to happen. I have to email the cop and tell them Iā€™m uninsured unfortunately. I thought I had paid for 12 month term but apparently it was a 6 and it lapsed. Since I had a new number they couldnā€™t reach out to me to let me know.

Iā€™m so damn scared. This has flipped my life upside down. I know I screwed up I just am wondering if anyone knows how this might play out. If Iā€™m found at fault (which is likely due to ā€œfailure to yieldā€ even those the two cops were disagreeing as to who was at fault. The primary cop had final say) I hope its just car damages and I can make a payment plan with his insurance:(
