None of us have gone through this, so I am hoping to receive thoughts and ideas of people who have been through similar situations
This text sums up what happened. A lawyer has been hired and she's getting the medical treatment she needs. My questions are more about how long this could take, will there be a payout for her, things to expect or words of advice.
"I was walking out to my car from work across a main road where the hospitals are on one side and the other side are parking lots and garages for employees. It was daytime around 5 pm. I stopped on the sidewalk to push the pedestrian button, and saw the numbers were already counting down. I looked both ways, nobody was coming from my left, and there was a truck and an suv coming from the right. Both were a ways down the road, and the truck was in the far right lane. I started walking in the crosswalk and had made it across four lanes and was looking the other way when the truck struck me in the fifth lane"
She was all bruised up, cuts, road rash, and bruises. In terms of major injuries, she had her hip a little displaced. Which will require PT. Her clavicle was displaced, she had a concussion, and a rupture of a ligament in her shoulder. This potentially will require PT for months and surgery.
Thanks in advanced.
