Will debt collectors continue calling me, even though my brother is the one who owes debt?

Post Body

I live in PA

I got a call from a debt collection agency earlier today. They left a voicemail and asked for my brother (who I did not know had any debts besides student loans, but I wonā€™t ask), so they obviously got the wrong number. So I called them back and asked why they called. They gave me their company name and then asked what would be a good number to reach him at. I deflected and didnā€™t give them it (nor my name), instead basically saying ā€œYeah that name sounds familiar. Iā€™ll look in my address book and ask him to call you backā€. After, I called my brother and he seemed confused why they would be calling me instead of him, and said something about them not taking payments out he sent them. But thatā€™s his thing to deal with.

My concern is that, whatever heā€™s got going on with this organization, theyā€™re going to now keep calling me or even emailing me, pestering me until I give them something or help them in some way. Should I be concerned? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
