Loan company wrecking credit score because of file date of gap payment.
Post Body

I live in MD, the loan company I was approved on with my last vehicle was Westlake Financial. I had a accident on June 21st and the gap insurance did not get paid til around mid to late July, I know this because they told me I still had to make a payment for June. My payments are due on the 28-30 of the month. I was unable to make a payment in July due to inability to work for lack of a vehicle. I missed payments for July and August, but made a 1k payment in September and about $400 in August.

My credit has taken a 160 point drop in about a month. Part of it is because of not working but I believe them falsely stating when the gap was paid impacted the accountalso attributed to it.

Do I have any claim here? I have never seen my credit tank so fast and in such a short time.
