Travel insurance denied our claim when my father had a stroke in another country. They said it was bound to happen because of his high blood pressure. Their policy states emergency coverage of events from pre-existing conditions are covered but thereās a clause that shows itās covered under the impression that āthe acute onset of the pre-existing condition does not directly or indirectly relate to a chronic or congenital conditionā. This seems a bit contradictory. If itās a āpre existing conditionā it will absolutely be considered a chronic condition. A friend who has legal background suggests we write a ādemand letterā but i would have to research first to see what law was broken. Any advice?
