So I'm not going into full detail about the wild situation other than my landlord tried to kick me out without a eviction notice (and I never broke the lease that doesn't end until next year) and I've been trying to find a new place but one morning I walk outside to a small claim summons saying I'm being sued. But anyways they completely butchered my name! My first name is spelled wrong and my last name on the paper isn't even close to my actual last name. I've called clerk of courts, a attorney, and the magistrates office and my question hasn't directly been answered... lol when I get there what do I do? When they call the wrong name out do I say I am present and then explain when it's my turn to talk that the name isn't correct or do I get there early and try to talk to someone and see if I can get the case dismissed or continued with my correct name? I need someone advice I'm very confused and honestly anxious. I was told to talk to the magistrate before hand and explain it's the wrong name but I'm not sure how to do that. Someone help!
