I'll keep the details brief but basically I was in a toxic on again/off again relationship earlier in my life and when it finally ended they put a civil stalking injunction on me due to messaging attempts after being blocked. After the injunction was instated I foolishly tried to email them about it formally asking to talk about removing it. This caused a stalking charge and conviction (Class B Mis). I know I was very stupid and emotional back then. It's been years now and I've moved to Texas. My attorney assured me that my 2nd amendment rights wouldn't be affected at all and that I could still pass a background check for a firearm. Now that I'm in Texas, am I still good to go and try to buy a gun? Thank you for anyone who is familiar about this.
