Hello, I’ll try to be concise as possible. 2022 VW purchased with 7k miles. Car is a buyback but we were told it was repaired. Part A and B were replaced before our purchase by manufacturer and sold to a dealership.
Car was not repaired and there was no way to know until driving a distance to our house. Called a local VW dealership where they replaced part A again. Not fixed. Took it back to dealership we purchased it from. They replaced part A again. They ordered part B but it was on backorder and the car sat there for 101 days.
Hired lemon law attorney. Buy back was Denied and we were dropped by attorney.
Moved out of state and picked up car that never got part B or fixed. New dealership in new state attempted fix via electrical wiring. Not fixed.
Our previous state did not require inspections, this one does and the car will not pass.
Dealership gave us 60 day temp sticker because it passes safety. They reached out to VW 3 times over 60 days but they have given no guidance to the dealership. We can’t drive this car legally next Tuesday.
I’m at a loss. We owe over $20k on this car still that we soon can’t use to get to work to pay for.
I understand it’s a buyback but that doesn’t void the warranty and in fact they gave us an extended warranty.
Any advice would be great. I contacted bb auto line and started arbitration and they offered us $4k which I denied. TBD on the date for conference call. Is this a breach of warranty since it can’t be fixed?
tLdR: had it 9 months. 3 dealerships, 3 repairs, sat at one dealership over 100 days. Can’t drive it legally as of 10/1.
