In Colorado Springs, So my 2 roommates and I moved our friend that was down on their luck move in like 3-4 months back, as long as they pay their rent and do household tasks(mow lawn, toss trash, wash dishes). Recently, one of my roommates (henceforth R1) who is on the lease ate the bad roommates( will now be called BR) sandwich and then R1 and BR got into an argument which resulted in the police being called for an alleged assault. BR was saying that R1 hit him with a door but there wasn’t any evidence to prove it so the police just made a note and left. After that I definitely made a mistake and offered BR some money to move out and now BR is not paying their share of bills and we are having to make up for it. And when I texted BR about bills they said “Legally I am suggested not to speak with you or anyone in the house. Legal case pending.” BR isn’t on the lease but has been here for ~3 months. I’m thinking about contacting the leasing company for our house to see if there’s anyway forward please help or tell me how dumb I am. Also I am one of the 3 tenants that signed the lease.
