So Id like to start off and say I’m not into children, nothing about them interest me. I matched with a account on a dating app (the profile said 18 and I’m 23), we took it from the app to personal messages. I sent a pic of myself and of my member. I get a text the next day from the number saying it’s the father. The mom caught the daughter trying to send something to me but stopped her. In the whole situation I guess the computer got damaged. The father is saying I’m liable for the damages and is trying to have me agree to a contract through text. If I don’t he says he will contact the police. In the contract it just says I have to pay for the damages of the computer but it doesn’t say why just that I agree to pay for them. He says I have to pay $800. Oh btw he won’t send a pic of damages.
Should I lawyer up or do y’all think this is a scam.
The reason I believe this is a scam is because he lives in Florida and had a la number contact me saying that it was a private investigator, (fyi I live in the 209 area). The so called father contacted me and we talked. He says he will contact me in the morning but from another number because he will be deactivating the number he contacted me from.
