I have a out of state warrent and really could use some great advice.
Post Body

Hello anyone reading this hope your having a good day. OK so heres my situation. Back in 2019 I had a bad car wreck. I was going to fast and flipped my vehicle. No other person was involved. I broke my leg badly and was immediately token to the ER before ever having time to speak to a officer. Eventually a officer shows up at the hospital and asks for my medical records and I deny. Reason being (alcohol in my system) yeah stupid me but anyway. They give me a citation and give me a court date to appear. Where I was located at the time of the wreck wasn't my home state I was only there working. Long story short 2 weeks later I went to my home state simply to visit family but ended having severe complications medically with my leg and never was able to make it back the state of which the wreck happend. Now I have a opportunity to go back and get a good job there. The issue I'm having is I called to verify if I had a warrant and they confirmed for failure to appear. They told me I would have to show up in person and talk to the judge or hire a lawyer there is no way to simply pay a fine. I would like any advice on how to handle this situation as far as what steps I should take. I assume a lawyer would be best if so would I need to hire a lawyer from my own state or hire a lawyer in the state of the incident?
