Hi there, I recently went with my mom to go get her interview done for residency and while at the interview we found out while she had to do it in the first place, according to the official performing the interview, there was a mistake in my mothers paperwork,
-The mistake was that there was a question for if anyone in my family or my mother has ever been involved in drugs, trafficking and other illegal activities, and the attorney who filled out the paper work, put yes
This ultimately was determined to be the reasoning why a interview was requested in the first place because my brother and I are both in the military and requested her residency because of us being in the service, and the official themselves said that the interview never should’ve taken place due to our background.
I’m curious as to what actions I can take against the attorney, my mother would like a refund of some sort because if she’s paying someone 5k or more to help her she would sure hope they don’t mess up and almost screw her over, I on the other hand am more curious about taking her to the state bar and reporting her due to her negligence and causing this issue.
I just wanted some more input on what would be the more appropriate action to take against this immigration lawyer.
Thank you
